Demo site holds workshop with Korea Smart Grid Institute

We have held a workshop at our Spanish demo site with a delegation from Korea Smart Grid Institute (KSGI), Co-Secretariat of the International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN), representing JeollaNam-do Local Government (South Jeolla Province) and KEPCO energy cluster.

The workshop on 18 July featured a visit to the installations of the TIGON demo site operated by CIEMAT and to CIRCE’s headquarters and electronics lab.

The Korea delegation came to Spain to discuss the mutual interest and possiblity of cooperation on international joint R&D programmes on technology/standards development.

This comes at a time when the Korean government has announced the Special Act on Distributed Energy, and it is expected that the development of technologies and the establishment and revision of the legal system will be carried out actively. In addition, many local governments in Korea are attempting to carry out demonstration projects related to distributed energy and are planning to promote related R&D programmes.
