TIGON was in Brussels between 11-13 June for the European Sustainable Energy Week to showcase the project's hardware and software solutions for hybrid microgrids
Project partners ICONS and RINA presented the project at the Energy Fair which offered an interesting opportunity to engage with delegates from various backgrounds – associations, networks, think-tanks, policy makers.
In addition to our project, we promoted the eFORT and SSTAR projects which deal with grid resilience and solid-state transformers respectively.
Under the banner “All together for a greener Europe”, we shared a stand with other sustainable energy projects, including H-HOPE, RESPONDENT and META Group. This helped us portray a broader picture of work for the energy transition and enabled us to make connections that we wouldn’t necessarily have made otherwise.
Organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the Directorate-General for Energy, EUSEW is the largest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe.
The event featured sessions on range of topics relating to climate action, including implementation of technologies with net-zero impact, development of renewables and competitiveness – the background to all the projects at our stand.
As we head towards the “home run” in TIGON, EUSEW this year offered a key platform to highlight our progress and to promote the microgrid innovations in the making.
