We continue to work towards helping deliver the EU's Green Deal by developing hybrid grid solutions with our partners from across Europe.
While demonstration equipment design and manufacture is nearing completion, in April we held a workshop at our Spanish demo site for a delegation from Japan’s national research and development agency NEDO. And in May we reached out to stakeholders at the PCIM power electronic event in Germany, presenting our project’s work to those likely to take on its microgrid solutions.
In this issue, we look at this technical side of our work – we share a paper that reviews solid-state transformers and also the decision-support side of managing microgrids in emergencies. This research feeds into the 8 solutions for which we’re currently developing business models so that they don’t just remain technical but also viable commercially.
